How To Bless & Protect Your Home in 2021

In this new year, we all want to stay safe and healthy. Last year was a doozy wouldn’t you agree?

In order to to bless and protect our homes, I came up with a simple and fun idea that you can do in your homes. This can also be a fun idea to involve your kids and or grandkids.

Select your favorite color of Sharpie and simply write a blessing of protection on the backside of your switch plates by your doors. You can also write them on the switch plates of any room you desire.

To get your thoughts rolling, I’ve gathered a few versus you can look through. Feel free to use these or find others that resonate with you.

Examples of blessings:

For Entries:

  1. Shalom (which means meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility)
  2. Numbers 6:24-26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

For Kitchens: Matthew 6:11 “Give us this day our daily bread.”

For Bedrooms: Psalm 4:8 “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

For Dining areas: Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.”

For Home Offices: Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

For Living/Family Rooms: Romans 12:18 “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

For Laundry/Work Rooms: Proverbs 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

For Bathrooms: Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

The video below is less than one minute long and shows you how simple this idea is.

The beauty of this idea is when you put pen to switch plate and transfer your thoughts and prayers from mind/mouth to your home. Experts say that when you write down your goals, the likelihood of you reaching them is increased dramatically. So why not write blessings onto your home as well?

Have fun with it! Last but NOT least…

When we release our prayers to God and our hopes to the universe, we can confidently walk in faith that all will come true according to His will. Prayers and requests for blessing and protection over your home is always His will.

I recently heard from a pastor that we can’t outsource our success; we have to participate in it. So I encourage you to take the action and welcome Him into your homes. He’ll do the rest.

I look forward to hearing if you bless and protect your home in this way.

Happy New Year!
