DRUMBEAT is an evidence based intervention developed by the Holyoake Institute which aims to improve mental, social and emotional well being within high risk populations, such as people who are in prison. Our research consisted of a mixed-methods study to evaluate the effectiveness of the DRUMBEAT program in reducing psychological distress, improving mental well-being and increasing resilience in the prisoners who participated in the program.
